1. Sonoma Wine Country Weekend | September

Sonoma Wine Country Weekend draws thousands of visitors each year. This amazing celebration is held each Labor Day weekend and always sells out quickly. Hundreds of wineries and chefs from across Sonoma gather to serve up the most sought-after wines, all complete with delectable dishes prepared by the valley’s most renown local chefs. 2. The National Heirloom Expo | September

With over 20,000 farmers and 300 vendors, the National Heirloom Expo is a must for those who want to explore the rich agricultural heritage and industry of the United States. Also known as the World’s Pure Food Fair, the National Heirloom Expo is the world’s largest produce display. You will find everything from vivid heirloom displays to colossal pumpkins to mini gardens and more! Tickets are only $15 for adults and children are always free. All profits from the National Heirloom Expo benefit school garden and food programs.

3. Sonoma County Crush | September

Sonoma County Crush is an unforgettable grape harvest celebration! Not only can you meet the winemakers, learn about the harvest, and taste amazing wines – you will also have an amazing opportunity to get involved with hands-on experiences, including the great grape crush! Passes are only $35 in advance and give you exclusive access to harvest activities and wine tastings at ten wineries in Kenwood and Glen Ellen. As an added bonus, many of Glen Ellen’s greatest wineries are less than five minutes away from Olea Hotel!

4. Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival | September

The Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival is the longest running festival in the state of California. Held since 1897, this one-of-a-kind festival features a myriad of fun activities for people of all ages. If you are looking to incorporate some physical activity into your Wine Country vacation, then be sure to sign up for a 5k or 12k destination race! Grape stomp competitions, live music, dancing, the Glow Parade, and the art festival are just a few of the event’s most anticipated happenings.

5. Sonoma County Harvest Fair | October

This expansive fair is held each October and 2018 looks to promise one of the best celebrations yet! 7. Sonoma Extra Virgin Festival | November

Wine and olives go together like peanut butter and jelly, and it just so happens that their harvest season overlaps. The Sonoma Extra Virgin Festival is a wine and olive celebration held in Glen Ellen each year in November. Here, you will find all things olive-related, including cooking demonstrations, olive oil, olive foods, and more. Food trucks, music, and of course, wine, is always on the schedule!
